Another King Crimson great, Robert Fripp, has been hired to provide the musical intro for a Microsoft product.
Brian Eno made the sounds for Windows 95 and now, "Robert Fripp was on the Microsoft campus a few weeks back," says scobleizer on Channel 9.
The video is a little on the dark side but it, "offers a fascinating glimpse into RF’s MO as well as a hint of the kind of sounds you (and a kerjillion other computer users) can expect hear bleeping and droning from your Vista-run PC in the not too distant future," says DGM Live!.
"Project Manager Steve Ball (from the League of Crafty Guitarists) gives RF direction as to the kinds of sounds the Vista team are looking for and we also get a glimpse of John Sinks lurking in the background."
This comes under the heading, 'Music knows no master'.
